Key Returnees
The Golden Flashes will be counting on their eight returning seniors to help the program take the next step. Brandon Allen (3.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg), Noah Bayus (7.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg), Logan Brown (0.7 ppg), Cole Davis (1.1 ppg), Zach Lindsay (5.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg), Lucas Nasonti (18.1 ppg, 2.2 apg), R.J. Smith (3.3 ppg, 1.8 rpg), and Michael Turner (13.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.0 apg) are all set to return for Champion. Bayus shot 52.4% from the floor (66-126) last winter. Lindsay led the junior class a year ago with a 44.2% three-point percentage (23-52). Turner shot a high percentage from beyond the arc (40.1%) while connecting on 78.8% from the charity stripe (41-52).

Outlook
Last season, Champion finished with 16-wins which was increase by 10-wins over what they had accomplished in 2014-15 (6-18). During the five previous season (2010-15), the Golden Flashes were only able to accumulate 17 wins (17-85). With a large senior class returning, “we’re going to try and build on our (success),” says coach Carrino. “We’re look(ing down the line) to the post-season, if we can stay healthy and continue to work hard – we can make a run”.
