Campbell law director requests review of investigation into police chief

After a review by the Attorney General's Office, a special prosecutor may be appointed

Campbell Police Chief Drew Rauzan was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – Campbell’s Law Director Brian Macala says the city requested the Ohio Attorney General’s Office to review the investigation of former Chief of Police Drew Rauzan

The city fired Rauzan last week after a two-month investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, which found he committed misconduct in law.

In September, a woman told investigators that Rauzan reached out to her to take care of a warrant for driving with expired plates. While she was at the police station in July, she says Rauzan touched her inappropriately.

After the review, the Attorney General’s Office may appoint a special prosecutor.
