YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Sick kids don’t always get the chance to live out their dreams, but a new program in the Valley is looking to change that.
The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley launched a new initiative Tuesday morning called Dreamcatchers for Kids.
Children in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties with life-threatening medical conditions are the first priority. Dreamcatchers wants to make their dreams come true, whether it’s a trip to Disney World, meeting a favorite celebrity or riding a horse for the first time.
Dreamcatchers already has a $5,000 anonymous donation to start making those dreams reality.
If you want to help make a dream come true, either by a financial donation or by volunteering your time, you can do that on the Dreamcatchers website. You can also nominate someone for a wish.
Dreamcatchers hopes to give out its first wish shortly after Christmas.
