Key Returnees
Seniors Andree Bowers had a strong campaign last season. Bowers averaged 15.7 points as he shot 30.3% from three-point range (40-132). Daniel Banks, a 6’0 senior, finished second on the team in field goal percentage (45.0%) and third in three-point shooting (27.1%) while averaging 11.7 points. Juniors Dra Rushton (12.6 ppg), Quaishon Campbell (4.4 ppg) and Capone Hayward (33.3% 3PT) all were key as sophomores last year to the team’s success.

Outlook
Chris Kohl – who’s been a teacher at Liberty for the past 30 years – takes over the position as head basketball coach this winter. Kohl brings almost four decades of coaching experience which took him from Liberty to Lordstown to Struthers and to Mooney (4 years) and Mineral Ridge (3 years) where he was the head coach. He takes over a Leopard program which has seen only two winning seasons in the past nine years (2013-14: 13-11; 2010-11: 11-10).
