COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Valley State Senator Joe Schiavoni will continue serving as the Minority Leader in his chamber.

Schiavoni said he was chosen Tuesday by his fellow Democrat senators to lead their delegation. He became Minority Leader in 2013.

Schiavoni said he has also been thinking about his political future, since he will have to give up his seat in 2018 because of term limits. He said it’s still too early to formally announce his plans, and he’ll be concentrating on traveling the state recruiting candidates to run for the Senate.
