North Lima driver indicted on assault charge for motorcycle crash

Investigators said Michael Baun's car and a motorcycle crashed on Route 224 in Boardman in September

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle crash that happened Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The driver of a car involved in a crash with a motorcycle has been charged with vehicular assault.

Michael Baun, 31, of North Lima, was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury Thursday.

Investigators said his car and a motorcycle crashed on Route 224 in Boardman in September.

They said the motorcyclist, 45-year-old Geoffrey Kale, was knocked to the ground and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
