Sir Wolfgang Green was sentenced to 13 years in jail for the shooting death of a teen in Youngstown

Sir Wolfgang Green pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 16-year-old Devon Bailey last year.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the shooting death of a teenager.

Sir Wolfgang Green pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 16-year-old Devon Bailey last year.

Green shot Bailey in the chest at a home on Youngstown’s south side. Bailey was a student at East High School.

Mahoning County Court Judge Jack Durkin said the one thing that troubled him was that Green was even around a gun, despite the fact that he was already a convicted felon.

“You’ve been to prison previously for possessing one, and we wouldn’t be here this morning if you didn’t put yourself in a position, even accidentally, to have that one discharge,” he said.
