Key Returnees
Marcus Hooker has compiled 694 points, 441 rebounds and 128 steals in his first two seasons on the varsity level. Now, a junior, Hooker will look to provide the New Castle fans with another fantastic season. Seniors Geno Stone (33.1%) and Gino DeMonaco (43.1%) both shot a high percentage from the three-point arc last winter. Stone scored 13.9 points while rebounding to an average of 4.5. DeMonaco scored 8.1 points.

Outlook
With Marcus Hooker, Geno Stone, Gino DeMonaco back in fold – don’t look for the Hurricane letup. In six years, coach Blundo has recorded an 89% winning percentage (154-19). Let me repeat – an 89% winning percentage. That’s unheard of. The Runnin’ Red Hurricanes outscored their opposition by an average of 73 to 51 last year. During Blundo’s time as head coach, the ‘Canes have accumulated a 76-4 conference record within the WPIAL.
