Key Returnees
Sophomore Ethan Porterfield played a key role on last year’s team as he averaged 7.7 points and hauled down 8.3 boards as just a freshman. Porterfield also connected on 25 of 35 free throw attempts (71.4%). Senior guard Marvin Redding shot 51.6% (47-91) from the field and scored 4.8 points per game.

Outlook
Under first-year head coach Zach Sarver, the Tigers played in two highly contested post-season games. First, Sharon got by Warren (63-56) in overtime in the District Quarterfinals. At Edinboro, the Tiger season came to an end as Meadville won by 7 in overtime (70-63). Gone from last year’s team is Daunell Stovall (15.4 ppg), Marquez Phillips (9.3 ppg, 3.0 apg), and Sevon Howell (7.5 ppg, 3.0 apg).

Sharon has registered a conference winning percentage of 59.3% (51-35) over the last six seasons.
