YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Around 7 a.m. Sunday morning, the Youngstown Fire Department was working in the snow to put out a house fire.

The house is located on the corner of Albert St. and Verona Ave. in Youngstown.

Battalion Chief Charlie Smith said no one was home when the fire started in a back bedroom, quickly moving through the second floor.

The wind and cold temperatures were not helping crews put out the fire, but after an hour it was out.

There is still no word on what could have started the fire.

A pitbull was in the backyard but was not harmed.
