CANFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel for Nick Opalick, Jr., 64, of Canfield Township, who passed away Sunday, November 20 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Main Campus.
Nick was born April 5, 1952 in Youngstown the son of Nickolas Sr. and Helen (Korak) O’Palick.
He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School class of 1969 and was the Owner / Operator of K-Max Auto Sales in Austintown until his retirement.
Nick enjoyed biking and spending time with his family. Most of all he loved to be with his three grandchildren.
Nick leaves his wife, Elizabeth Bernard, whom he married May 31, 2014; one son, Todd (Michele) Opalick of Canfield; three grandchildren, Mia, Hunter and Brooke; two stepchildren, Lucas Franken of New York, New York and Abigail Franken of Charleston, South Carolina and one sister, Charlene (Jim) Matune of Austintown. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Anstrom Chapel prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Make A Wish Foundation in Nick’s name.
