SOUTHINGTON, Ohio – Norma Jean Boyts, 83 of Southington died Sunday evening, November 20, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1933 in Boswell, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary Margaret Maust Knupp. She had been a Southington resident since 1964.
Norma graduated from JBJ High School in Pennsylvania.
She was a homemaker all of her married life. She was past president and an active member of the Geneva Lakeshore Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
Norma loved birdwatching and maintained several bird feeders in her yard. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
Her husband of 44 years, Paul Jay Boyts, whom she married March 29, 1956 preceded her in death in January 2000. One daughter, Sandra Stofira; two grandsons, Brian Allen Boyts and George Paul Stofira; two sisters, Olive Dixon and Marlene Meager and six brothers, Roy, Dwight, Paul, George, Elwood and Clyde Knupp have also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Mark A. (Barbara) Boyts of Howland; her son-in-law, George Stofira of Warren; two grandsons, Scott Boyts and Christopher (Leslie) Stofira and two great-granddaughters, Jessica Goff and Alexis Stofira.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service time Saturday. Rev. Frank Zanni will officiate.
Burial will be at Southington Reformed Cemetery.
