YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A murder case in Youngstown came to a close before it ever got started.
Jury selection was supposed to start Monday for the case against Derrick and Vincent Reber and Lorenzo Hilton.
On Monday, however, all three men entered guilty pleas to aggravated murder and aggravated robbery. Derrick Reber was additionally convicted of felonious assault and having weapons under disability, and Hilton was charged with having weapons under disability.
Prosecutors say the trio killed 28-year-old Daniel Sanford in September, during what is being called a robbery over marijuana. Both Hilton and Vincent Reber were also wounded during the shoot out, and Derrick Reber was caught a couple days later in the Pittsburgh area.
The Rebers and Hilton were all sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 20 years.
