BOARDMAN, Ohio – There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Struthers Church of Christ for Helen Rossi age 85, of Boardman who passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Assumption Village.
Helen was born January 10, 1931 in Alicia, Arkansas a daughter of Luther Lonzo and Tommy Ruth Jane Noblin Hunt.
Helen worked as a waitress in North Lima, a block operator for Penn Central Railroad, a line worker for Metal Carbides and Commercial Shearing to provide for her children.
She was a longtime devoted member of Struthers Church of Christ. She was loved and respected by all and an example of a true Christian woman.
Helen touched the hearts of everyone she met and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She had a kind, generous and beautiful heart and a willingness to always help others.
Helen will be sadly missed by her family; her sons, John R. Rossi and Ronaldo A. Rossi both of Boardman and her daughter, Bonnie K. (Thomas) Puncekar of Poland, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Leon Hunt of Port Allen, Louisiana and her stepsister, Mary Grow of Lake City, Florida.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepbrother, James Hunt; her sister, Fairy Bell Gonda and her close family friend, “Aunt” Beverly McGowan, and two infant grandchildren.
