Key Returnees
After losing 9 seniors from last year’s team, the Wildcats return just one letter winner in senior guard Justin Sherwood Sherwood averaged 4.8 points and 3.0 rebounds during 23 games last winter. Justin’s classmates Tyler Caracanas (0.6 ppg, 0.8 apg) and Jeff Greathouse will asked to expand their roles in 2016-17. “We expect to play four of five sophomores”, says Karr. “Two of three of them will be competing for starting spots.”

Outlook
When you lose the likes of Eric Wilson (16.1 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.8 apg), Tommy Hall (16.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg), Austin Karr (6.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg), Josh Barker (7.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.5 apg) and five other seniors – that’s a difficult task for any coach or program across the area. “What we lack in experience and size – we’ll make up in effort as we expect to get better every game,” states coach Karr. “(We hope to be) very competitive and continue to improve as the season progresses.”
