Key Returnees
“Although, this year is going to be a learning year for us,” remarks coach Mild. “We expect to be very competitive.” The team will be led by their lone senior Jace Burger (4.2 ppg, 2.6 rpg), who shot 75.9% from the foul line (22-29) while making 50.6% of his shots from the floor (41-81). Junior Chase Staunch led the team in three-point percentage (40.0%, 12-30) while also scoring 3.7 points and hauling 2.5 rebounds per game. Chase’s classmate Marshall Murray returns after appearing in 19 games last winter and averaging 2 points per game. The Big Reds will be counting on newcomers Casey Mild, Jake Bowen, Kaz Hoffman, Rocco Davano, and Zack Long (all sophomores) to contribute this season.

Outlook
West Middlesex has averaged 22 wins over the last five seasons. During that stretch, the Big Reds’ have won their division championship each year by posting a combined 57-1 record in league play and an overall winning percentage of 80.1% (109-27). This year, they’ll try to continue that same success without their top three scorers from a year ago (Ryan Dogan, 15.7; Josh Porterfield, 14.1; Nick Cannone, 11.9).
