Neglected dog taken in by Animal Charity gets happy ending

Animal Charity says Bella has new owner, after 18 months of waiting for a home

Animal Charity is trying to find a family for Bella, a dog who's been in the kennel over a year.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The story of a neglected dog living at an animal shelter for more than a year has a happy ending.

Bella is an 11-year-old dog who has been at Animal Charity since she was found in deplorable condition. Animal Charity said Bella was rescued from a home that didn’t take care of her, and she had a skin disease that was left untreated for so long, she lost most of her fur.

Workers considered Bella a miracle dog, because she recovered from not one, but two very serious health problems that could have claimed her life.

Last week, WKBN reported that the shelter was looking for a home for Bella. After 18 months of waiting, she is finally out of the shelter.

Animal Charity says Bella’s new owner is retired and is able to spend all day with her.
