Key Returnees
The Bulldogs gained a lot of experience last season as seniors Chris Muir (19.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg), Jatise Garrison (9.9 ppg, 6.7 rpg), and Austin Shortreed (4.7 ppg, 1.9 apg) all played key roles. Juniors Drew Munno (7.8 ppg) and T.J. Lynch (5.4 ppg) each contributed as sophomores. Munno led the team in field goal percentage (50.0%) and three-point shooting (46.7%). Lynch finished second on the team in free throw shooting (61.5%). Sophomore guard Daniel Evans averaged 4.5 points as a freshman. Coach Fitch says, “We need to utilize our strength to shoot the basketball and stretch defenses. In order to compete, we must value each possession and limit opponents to one shot and finish the possession well on the defensive glass.”

Outlook
Since Lakeview’s last league champion (2008-09 AAC White Tier), the Bulldogs have had just one winning campaign (2011-12: 11-10) while finishing with 18 or more losses in four of the past seven seasons. Coach Ryan Fitch arrived last summer and began his first season at the helm with victories in their first two games. However, Lakeview closed out the year by winning only 3 of their final 21 contests.
