ALBANY, NY (CNN) – Police in New York State are investigating an overnight shooting at a gay bar and nightclub in Albany.
Officers responding to a shots-fired call early Thursday morning found four people with gunshot wounds.
A male victim died at the hospital.
Another male and two females were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The attack was not random, according to police, who have reportedly taken at least one person into custody. But authorities and the club’s owner say the incident does not appear to be a hate crime against the LGBT community.
