Key Returnees
South Range returns a quartet of seniors – Anthony Ritter (7.3 ppg), Dan Ritter (8.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg), Mark Vennetti (36.2% 3PT), and Taymer Graham – which should be the building blocks to a strong 2016-17 season. A large junior class which includes Hunter Solveskyi, Brady White, Matt Brooks, Mike Cunningham, Hunter Higgins, and Brandon Youngs has many excited about this upcoming season. Youngs finished second in scoring last winter with an 11.1 average. Also, keep an eye on Jaxon Anderson – who is only a sophomore – to find his way onto the court to make contributions this year as well. Coach John Cullen is excited about this group, “We feel we have 9 to 10 players who are ready to compete at a high level. If we continue to learn our lessons, we could have a very exciting team that has paid its dues and is ready to have a strong season.”

Outlook
Over the last two seasons, the Raiders have won 31 of their 49 games (63.3%). Only to think, in 2013-14, South Range struggled to post a 4-19 record. Coach Cullen likes what he has seen from his group so far. “We gained valuable experience playing a strong schedule (against) state ranked teams over the summer in which we were successful. We hope to compete for our first league championship in the last eighteen years. We’re hungry, experienced and anxious to get started.”
