Key Returnees
The Golden Eagles return a trio of starters in Jake Clark (16.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg), Kaden Smith (49.8% FG, 76.0% FT), and Dakota Hill (6.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 3.1 apg). Clark is 246-points shy of breaking the all-time school record at United. Smith averaged 15.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last winter. Hill has been the Eagles’ starting point guard in each of the last two seasons. Coach Kadvan states, “These three have been key leaders throughout the off-season and now.” Senior Logan Fraas (2.2 ppg, 1.8 rpg) also returns after lettering last winter. “He’s a team player and hard worker,” says Kadvan of Fraas.

Outlook
Last year the Golden Eagle basketball program won their first playoff game since 2008. “The success from last season is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team,” indicates Kadvan. “Over the last two seasons, we have worked on changing the image of United basketball. This team is determined to continue to make our community proud and has set high expectations. If we play together as a team and set aside personal agendas we can meet our expectations.”
