YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community campaign spent Saturday morning volunteering at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley.

Individuals from WKBN and Safelite AutoGlass participated in one of the “Super Saturdays” that the Rescue Mission offers.

This Saturday was all about organization. Volunteers spent the morning preparing the kitchen to serve meals – organizing all the Rescue Mission’s bread and dessert donations.

It seems like a simple task, but those at the Rescue Mission were appreciative of the hard work and very thankful for the much needed assistance.

The WKBN 27 Caring for Our Community campaign volunteers year-round for activities throughout the Valley.

This program is made possible by the sponsor partners committed to making a difference in our community – Safelite AutoGlass, Huntington Bank, Window World and Dunkin’ Donuts.
