Warren JFK makes easy work of Harvest Prep; Title game next

The Eagles led 27-0 after the first quarter and never looked back

Sparked by a huge first quarter, Warren JFK downed Harvest Prep, 48-7. The Eagles (13-1) will now play Minster (10-4) next Saturday at 10 a.m. at The Ohio State University for the championship.

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren JFK put away Harvest Prep less than 12 minutes into Saturday’s Division VII semifinal matchup. In turn, the Eagles are just one win from a state championship title.

Sparked by a huge first quarter, Warren JFK downed Harvest Prep, 48-7. The Eagles (13-1) will now play Minster (10-4) next Saturday at 10 a.m. at The Ohio State University for the championship.

By the time the first quarter ended Saturday, Warren JFK led Harvest Prep 27-0.

Greg Valent started off the scoring with a 72-yard TD run at the 11:25 mark of the first. Then, following a Harvest Prep fumble recovery on the kickoff, Jake Coates scored on a 23-yard TD run.

Later in the first, Valent notched a 6-yard TD run, before he connected with Hyland Burton for a 10-yard TD pass.

The Eagles added on in the second quarter for a 34-0 halftime lead, while they led 48-0 in the fourth before Harvest Prep finally got on the scoreboard.
