CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Three men from the Youngstown-area are facing federal firearms charges.
James M. Simmons, 32, and Michael Williams, 32; of Youngstown; and Ricky Page, 30, of Boardman; were indicted by a federal grand jury. Investigators say the men had firearms despite prior felony convictions that made firearm possession illegal.
Simmons was convicted of burglary, possession of cocaine and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer in Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas.
Paige was convicted of robbery, aggravated robbery and burglary in Mahoning County.
Williams was previously convicted of aggravated assault and cocaine trafficking in Summit County. Now, he faces charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio.
