Loose cattle in Canfield prompts search

The Mahoning County Sheriff's Office took a call about missing cattle from a Canfield farm on Sunday

Mahoning County Sheriff's deputies were on the hunt this weekend for missing cattle.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Mahoning County Sheriff’s deputies were on the hunt this weekend for missing cattle.

The cattle were reported missing Sunday from a farm on Crory Road.

After an all-night search, four of the cattle were found. Eight remained on the loose.

A search was still active on Monday near the Leffingwell Road area.

The Sheriff’s Office didn’t have information on how the cattle escaped.

If you see any cattle roaming around, you’re urged to give your local police department a call.
