Crash on Midlothian knocks out power in Youngstown, Boardman

Investigators said a driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a power pole on the other side of the road and then rolled over

An accident on Midlothian Boulevard on Tuesday morning has caused a power outage in parts of Mahoning County.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – An accident on Midlothian Boulevard on Tuesday morning caused a power outage in parts of Mahoning County.

According to First Energy, 927 people are without power in Youngstown and 240 customers without power in Boardman on Tuesday morning. By late afternoon, power had been restored to most customers.

Crews at the scene of the accident said a driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a power pole on the other side of the road and then rolled over. The man was traveling eastbound on Midlothian Boulevard at the time of the crash.

Medics checked the driver out at the scene, but he appeared to be OK.
