BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – An employee of a roadside assistance business was arrested Monday on a warrant for a road-rage incident in September.

Michael Baun, 32, was arrested by Boardman police, who realized he had a warrant when he was called to assist a driver that ran out of gas.

Baun works for Speed Demons. Inc., according to a police report. The company, based in Steubenville, delivers fuel and air, change and repair tires, jumpstarts and auto lockout service.

The warrant for Baun’s arrest stems from a vehicular assault charge in September.

The Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the charges came after a road-rage incident on U.S. 224.

Baun was the driver of a 2002 Subaru Impreza, which was struck by a 2005 Harley Davidson, driven by Geoffrey Kale. That prompted the incident, but Highway Patrol could provide no further information.

The indictment says Baun caused serious physical injuries to Kale while operating the vehicle.

Baun was taken to Mahoning County Jail and was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
