Panera Bread purchases in south push Covelli over 300 locations

Covelli Enterprises is the largest franchisee of Panera Bread, now with over 300 restaurants in six states and Canada

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren-based Covelli Enterprises continues to grow as the company just bought 22 Panera Bread restaurants in South Carolina and Georgia.

Covelli Enterprises will now operate over 300 Panera Breads in six states and Canada, saying it has aggressive growth plans for the South Carolina and Georgia region over the next few years.

This past April, the company bought 21 Paneras in the Cincinnati area.

Covelli is the largest franchisee of Panera Bread. The company also owns five O’Charley’s restaurants and nine Dairy Queens.
