YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Wednesday was the annual meeting of the Better Business Bureau of Mahoning Valley.

The group spent the morning celebrating its 1,220 businesses in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties that meet the BBB’s standards of trust.

To be an accredited member, a business must agree to honor its promises, advertise honestly and be committed to ethics in the marketplace. BBB leaders say that makes doing business in the Valley safer for you.

“The BBB of Mahoning Valley is the number-one BBB in the state of Ohio. It’s not Cleveland, it’s not Cincinnati, it’s not Columbus. We have the highest retention in the state and the fourth highest in North American,” said BBB President and CEO Carol Potter.

Members also voted for officers and directors at Wednesday’s meeting.
