YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Valley lawmaker Sen. Joe Schiavoni is getting serious about running for governor in two years.

He said he’s contacted all 88 Democratic chairs and asked if he could come and introduce himself at any meetings or holiday parties. Schiavoni is scheduled to speak at up to five holiday parties in the next two weeks.

The state senator has also reached out to labor leaders and Democratic clubs with the same request – just to introduce himself and talk about any issues pending in the Senate.

He says he is not asking for an endorsement, just a chance to let voters know who he is.
