They are believed to have been murdered between Friday night and Saturday morning. Guy then went back to Baton Rouge where he was attending college.

Both had multiple stab wounds and had been dismembered. Investigators said Guy tried to dissolve his parent’s bodies in an acid-based solution. A hazmat team had to be called in to remove the material.

Remains were disposed of in multiple rooms throughout the house. The chief medical examiner had to remove the remains from the scene for identification.

Detectives said there was information that Guy’s parents were planning to cut off some of his financial support in a conversation that was to take place on Thanksgiving. It is not yet known if this was a motive.

A welfare check called by Lisa Guy’s co-workers on Monday led to the discovery of “multiple, gruesome crime scenes,” according to the investigators.

Knox County detectives traveled to Baton Rouge to make the arrest. SWAT and Safe Streets team members assisted in the arrest, as did officers from the East Baton Rouge Parish Police Office. Guy was trying to enter his vehicle at his Baton Rouge apartment complex at the time of his arrest.

Guy is currently charged with being a fugitive from justice. Further charges are pending upon his extradition to Knox County.
