GIRARD, Ohio – Julius Klepec, Sr., 84, of Girard, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 2, 1932, in Slovenia, the son of George and Josephine (Pezdirc) Klepec.
He worked at Ohio Leather for 17 years and as a Press Operator at Commercial Intertec for 23 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard, avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Julius leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Anna (Zunic); children, Anthony (Tracey) of Austintown, Julius, Jr. of Girard and John (Jodi) of Canfield; grandchildren, Evan, Katie, Ashley, Joseph and Sarah; sisters, Malka Molek of Slovenia, Anna Bell of Pennsylvania and brothers Louis (Maria) of Hamilton and Anton (Ann) of Florida.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Knez.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home.
Friends and family may call Monday, December 5, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Julius’s name for masses or to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
