WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren police are looking for a man who they said stabbed someone Thursday evening.
Officers responded to a report of a man being stabbed around 7 p.m. A boy ran up to the patrol car and said that his uncle had been stabbed and needed an ambulance.
They went to the home in the 1200 block of Main Avenue and found a man on the living room floor with a stab wound to the lower back.
The victim said he hadn’t been home and when he came back, two men were smoking crack in his basement, according to a police report.
He went downstairs to confront them and told police that one ran out and the other refused to leave. The victim said he shoved the man out of the house and off the front porch.
According to the police report, the man then took out a knife and stabbed the victim.
He was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
