Youngstown crews work to keep vacant fire from spreading

Firefighters were called about midnight to the house. When they arrived, flames were shooting from the roof

Crews worked to keep a fire from spreading to neighboring homes in Youngstown, Ohio.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A passerby alerted firefighters about a fire at a house on North Medina Street late Thursday night.

Firefighters were called about midnight to the house. When they arrived, flames were shooting from the roof.

The house was vacant, but homes on either side were occupied and crews were concerned about damage to those structures.

Crews worked to keep the houses on either side safe from damage.

A cause in the fire hasn’t been determined.
