Lordstown students follow election to Inauguration Day in D.C.

The students meet with Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine and attend a delegate party in Little Italy.

LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A group of students from Lordstown High School who have followed the presidential election from the Iowa Caucuses to the conventions and finally to Election Day will to travel to Washington, D.C. for Inauguration Day.

Leading up to Inauguration Day, the students will visit many sites in Washington, D.C., including the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, Bureau of Printing and Engraving.

The students will also see the Jan. 20 swearing-in of President-elect Donald Trump.

The students in the Political Science Club traveled to rallies for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, visited the studios at C-Span, and attended the RNC in Cleveland. They also traveled to Iowa for the caucuses.
