HUBBARD, Ohio – Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8, at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Virginia K. DeWalk, 93, who passed away Sunday morning, December 4, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown.
Virginia was born November 6, 1923 in Youngstown the daughter of Perry and Goldie (Lawrence) Kimmel and was a lifelong area resident.
Virginia was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School class of 1941 and had worked for the steel mills and Packard Electric during WWII. After the war she was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Virginia loved crocheting, gardening, and traveling.
Her husband Arnold R. DeWalk, whom she married July 27, 1944, passed away January 3, 2015.
Virginia leaves four children, Richard (Beverly) DeWalk, Debby (Timothy) Tynan, Susan (Len) Draghi and Cindy DeWalk; one sister, Mary Penny; as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Mike Perry, Jim and Archie and two sisters, Marian “Toots” and Ruth.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8 at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
