Davidson scores 29; Salem wins its opener over the Potters

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – Salem opened the 2016-17 campaign with a 77-46 win over East Liverpool.

Mitch Davidson led all scorers with 29 points, 27 of which came in the second half. Chase Ackerman added 22 for the victorious Quakers. Senior Jon Gerace posted a double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds) on the evening.

The Potters were paced by Tre Jackson, who finished with 13. Gabriel Roach tallied 11.

Salem begins its home slate with a matchup on Friday against Louisville. East Liverpool will look to get into the win column on Friday when they travel to Indian Creek to take on the Redskins.
