Hooker, Stone lead New Castle past West Middlesex

Marcus Hooker led the way for the Red Hurricanes with 20 points.

Geno Stone helped the Red Hurricanes with 11-points as New Castle topped West Middlesex on the opening night of the season in PA.

NEW CASTLE, PA (WKBN)-The New Castle boys defended their home court on opening night as the Red Hurricanes topped West Middlesex 65-39 in the New Castle Tip-Off Classic.

Marcus Hooker led the way for New Castle scoring a game-high 20 points to pace the Red Hurricanes. Geno Stone helped the cause scoring 11.

The win puts New Castle at 1-0 on the young season as they return to action Saturday in the final day of the Classic, hosting St. Mary’s.

West Middlesex (0-1) will look to bounce back tomorrow as the Big Reds take on Central Valley at New Castle.
