Farrell falls in tip-off championship game

The game was the championship of the Julius McCoy Tip-Off Tournament

New Farrell head coach Bobby Stewart suffered his first loss at his alma mater Sunday, after grabbing his first win the night before.

FARRELL, Pa. (WKBN) РFarrell led by double-digits in the first half but let its lead slip away to Obama Academy in the championship game of the Julius McCoy Tip-Off Tournament, falling 59-56.

It was new head coach Bobby Stewart’s second game in charge at Farrell. He picked up his first win with his Alma mater Saturday against Warren JFK.

Jarod Messett led the way for Farrell with 15, while Nylan Hosey added 11.

Farrell returns to action Tuesday, on the road at Aliquippa.
