WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – U.S. Marshals arrested a man in connection with a Warren shooting that killed a young mother last month.
Marshals arrested Shaun Simpson in Warren Monday night. He is charged with murdering his girlfriend, 22-year-old Becky Pyne, on November 12.
According to police, the shooting happened outside of a home on South Leavitt Street.
Police said Simpson dropped Pyne off at Trumbull Memorial Hospital late that night, and then sped away. They said he took their baby to a relative’s before returning to the hospital.
Pyne was pronounced dead nearly an hour after being dropped off.
Detectives said Simpson had previously claimed that another person shot Pyne.
