YOUNGTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – As the snow begins piling up, there are some traffic restrictions in place. Accidents have also been reported across the area.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike has issued a travel advisory for motorists, due to the forecast of snow and reduced visibility. Drivers are asked to stay alert for changing weather conditions and reduce speed around emergency workers.
Viewers are reporting numerous accidents in the area.
A Postal Service truck hit a tree near Florancedale and Saranac avenues in Youngstown on Tuesday afternoon. The driver was taken to the hospital to get checked out.
The Postal Service says they will make sure everyone gets their mail.
Viewers are reporting traffic is also backed up on Interstate 80. One person submitted a photo of a Southern Local School bus that slid off the road on State Route 39 going into Wellsville.
Traffic is backed up on State Route 45 in Jackson Township as crews clear a truck from a ditch.
