YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – There will be services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17 at Spanish Evangelical Church, 369 Keystone Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio for Frances Badea, age 69, of Youngstown who was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Frances was born March 10, 1947 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico.
The daughter of Juan Vazquez-Colon and Maria Santana-Gomez, she arrived to Youngstown where she would make her home, at the age of seven, with her parents.
She attended South High School and was a member of Spanish Evangelical Church for nearly 45 years.
She was a devoted homemaker and was actively involved with her children and grandchildren.
For those people who were fortunate enough to meet Frances, one thing that they would all agree upon, is that her faith in God was as strong as anyone they had ever met. She lived a life in devotion to her faith and her family. She found joy in so many of the small and simple things life offered and found great pleasure in giving of her time and talents. She always had a smile on her face, a song in her heart and the presence of God was evident upon her. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a genuine example of a Godly woman.
Today, she is rejoicing in the fulfillment of God’s promise, she is restored, made whole and in the presence of her savior. For in death – there is life.
Her husband, Israel, whom she married July 14, 1972, passed away August 31, 2010.
She will be sadly missed by her family; her children, Michael Orengo, Isaac (Dominique Wilson) Badea, Raquel (Stephen) Pacheco, Dorcas (Ronny) Santiago; stepchildren, whom she loved as her own, Israel C., Jr. (Tayshomattee) Badea, Angel Luis (Bridgette) Badea, Antonio (Julia) Badea, Lolita (DeWayne) Nichols and 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves her siblings, Santos Vazquez, Eulogio Colon, Juanita Lebron, Juan Colon, Eddie Vazquez and Maria T Cutrona, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Maradee Vazquez, Juango Vazquez, Pedro Vazquez and Antonio Colon, as well as, great-granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Orengo.
