Newton Falls Police have arrested an 11-year-old student who investigators say wrote a bomb threat on a bathroom wall

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKBN) – Newton Falls Police have arrested an 11-year-old student, charged with making a bomb threat at Newton Falls Middle School.

Newton Falls Police Chief Gene Fixler said the student wrote a threat on a bathroom wall, causing the evacuation of the building and a search by multiple law enforcement agencies. Nothing was found during the search with bomb-sniffing dogs.

The student will be tried on the charges through Trumbull County Juvenile Court. The student was released to a parent, pending court and school discipline.

Police are investigating other written bomb threats and say more arrests may be forthcoming.
