YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown woman was arrested after being identified as a suspect in a home burglary after she was stopped Saturday night driving a car without headlights on.
A man living on King Street called police to report that he had been robbed by two women and a man. He said they forced their way into his home and held him by gunpoint while taking his belongings.
Police saw an orange Honda Fit matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle. Police said the driver was speeding on South Avenue without the car’s headlights on. She was stopped near Ravenwood Avenue, and police said she appeared nervous.
The woman, identified as 26-year-old Jennifer James, immediately told police that she didn’t want to be in the back of a cop car and that she “didn’t rob anyone,” according to a police report.
James was taken back to the house, where the victim identified her as one of the women that robbed him.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, as well as traffic violations.
