Blowing snow is possible across the entire region with drifting snow through the night. Temperatures will be frigid with lows near zero! Wind chills will drop to the 0° to -15° range through morning. Friday will start with some sun and then increasing clouds through the day. There is a small risk for a snow shower or flurry into the afternoon. Highs will build toward 20° late in the day.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING INTO
Another storm will impact the region Friday night. This storm will start with snow through the evening. 1 to 3 inches will be possible. The Snow will mix over to a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet as warm air works toward the area. The wintry mix will stick around into the early part of Saturday morning. Light ice accumulation will be possible. Higher snow totals will be possible if the mix holds off until later in the night. The Wintry mix will change to all rain Saturday as temperatures climb into the middle 40’s. Moderate rainfall will be possible. Turning colder late Saturday night into Sunday morning with rain mixing back to snow. The snow showers will taper off through midday Sunday.
