YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown family hopes to be able to spend Christmas together, with the help of a Pittsburgh organization.

Last Christmas, Sara Baile spent the holiday with her two kids but in less-than-ideal circumstances. Her youngest, one-year-old Wyatt, had to get transplant surgery at the time. He had liver disease, which he still has to fight.

“It was a roller-coaster. We had really, really good days, and then he was sick again and he was in the hospital,” Sara said.

Now healthy, they were granted a special wish.

Having memories of Wyatt with his grandfather is especially important for Sara. She lost her mother and sister just three weeks apart right before Wyatt was born.

Dennis can’t travel now due to his own health issues, and the last time he saw his grandchildren was before Wyatt’s transplant.

“My dad is almost 70 years old, and he’s having health issues, and I’d really like him to see his grandkids again before something does happen,” Sara said. “The last time he’s seen his grandkids, Wyatt was sick.”
