Michael N. “Mike” Esau, Campbell, Ohio – obit

CAMPBELL, Ohio – Michael N. “Mike” Esau, 75, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at his residence.

He was born August 9, 1941, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late McKinley and Alma Esau.

He was a 1959 graduate of Howland High School and attended Ohio State University for one year.

He retired in 1984 as the Owner and Operator of Rackett Store on Main Street after 30 years. He was also Owner and Operator of Mickey’s Place in Coitsville for 12 years.

He is survived by his children, Michael F. Esau of Warren, Pamela R. (Troy) Balint of Newton Falls and Charles P. Esau of Warren; six grandchildren, Josephine and Michael Esau, Troy (Heather) and Tristan (Fiancé Tom Heckathorn) Balint, Janelle (Eric) Bower and Lenay Brocious; five great-grandchildren; his fiancée, Dani Carcelli of Campbell and her son, Joe (Heather) Carcelli of Austintown; a brother, James (Judy) Esau of Howland and a sister, Beverly Petrosky of Cortland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Josephine Esau, who he married November 10, 1962 and passed away December 28, 1983.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483.

A service will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike’s name to MVI Hospice 4891 Belmont Ave. Youngstown, Ohio 44505.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Knight at the Hope Cancer Center in Boardman and staff at MVI Hospice for their wonderful care.
