Former Hubbard mayor, charged with sex crimes, appears in court

According to court documents, Richard Keenan is charged with raping a 4-year-old

Former Hubbard Mayor Richard Keenan appeared in court for a pretrial.


HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – The former mayor of Hubbard appeared in court again, facing sex crime charges.

Richard Keenan‘s pretrial hearing happened Monday.

He is charged with eight counts of gross sexual imposition, eight counts of rape and four counts of attempted rape.

According to court documents, the alleged crimes began as early as September of 2013 when the victim was 4 years old.

Keenan will remain out on bond and has been ordered to not have any contact with children.

His trial is set for April 24.
