YSU students’ trek to class gets easier after road reopens

Lincoln Avenue on Youngstown State's campus reopens.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A portion of Lincoln Avenue on Youngstown State’s campus reopened after being closed for three months, making students’ commutes a little bit easier.

Crews rebuilt the road, and made improvements to the sidewalks and crosswalks.

Youngstown Public Works Director Chuck Shasho said the project’s purpose was to increase pedestrian safety and improve roadways.

Lincoln is still closed between Phelps Street and Wick Avenue because of construction on Wick that will last until summer.
