STRUTHERS, Ohio – A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. and at 10:00 a.m. at Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, for Charles A. “Charlie” Lind, who passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, with his son and daughter by his side.
Charles was born in New Albany, Indiana, on December 16, 1934, son of the late Emil and Crescentia (Schmeltz) Lind.
He was a member at St. Nicholas Church, where he was an Adult Server, he served in the U.S. Army in Korea, he enjoyed gardening, was an avid Nascar fan but most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Charles worked for Team Transport in Warrendale, Pennsylvania and Frattaroli’s Sparkle Market in Struthers and New Middletown.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Edward (Linda) Lind of Clarksville, Indiana and Stephen Andrew Lind of Campbell; three daughters, Tonya Bartram of East Liverpool, Karinda (Terry) Ferrick and Crescentia Ann Lind, both of Struthers; his sister, MaryAnn Denbolearn of Easley, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. (Mikeals) Lind, whom he married on February 14, 1970, she died on May 29, 2007 and his son, Lawrence Lind, who died July 15, 2016.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Struthers, Ohio.
Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.

Charles was loved by all that knew him, he will be sadly missed.
